Nadia Rioux, B.A.

Holder of a bachelor’s degree in sexology from UQAM in 2010 and member of the Order of Sexologists since 2018, my career began in a perinatal center with a mostly female clientele wishing to regain their sexuality following childbirth. I also led workshops for new parents on sex education for children. In addition, I had the opportunity to collaborate on the writing of a collection on perinatal bereavement.

Since 2010, I have been working with women and children who are victims of violence in all its forms. For the past three years, I have specialized in dealing with victims of sexual assault. Since 2019, I have also developed and delivered workshops on sexuality education for students in grades one to six, in accordance with the government’s sexuality education curriculum.

I work mainly with the cognitive-behavioral approach. The important thing is to be able to refocus the clientele on their needs and to be able to re-establish a connection with their emotions and desires.
