The difference or decrease in sexual desire in a couple is inevitable with the progression of the relationship. Moreover, not only is this step normal, it is more desirable. This situation is considered to be a problem for couples who need to be treated or that there is a disorder that needs to be corrected. In reality, it’s quite the opposite, because you access a progression event for partners. This stage, although difficult to go through, allows the couple to access more satisfying sexuality.
Health professionals offering psychotherapy or helping relationship services for couples find themselves with a relationship issue that is very complex when it comes to sexuality and more specifically sexual desire. Loss or decrease in desire is a difficulty for which many therapists have difficulty grasping the underlying elements that maintain the dynamic. Addressing very thorny subjects with partners such as normal marital sadism, sex for pity, their emotional impasse, their 2 “dilemma-choices”, borrowed functioning and mind-mapping regularly makes the practitioner uncomfortable too.
For health professionals (psychologists, marriage and family therapists, sexologists and/or psychotherapists) offering psychotherapy or helping relationships to couples suffering from a difficulty related to sexual desire (absence, decrease, loss or difference). This training will help you explore in depth the dynamics that even therapists would prefer to avoid in therapy. This training will also address concrete ways to analyze and improve the relationship dynamics of the consulting couple. Neuroscience and brain plasticity will be discussed to explain the clinical foundations of the approach. Read the qualitative research of the evaluation of the approach. More than 400 scientific papers were used to develop the approach.
Basic training (Level 1): 10am ADP FORMAL (RA07159-25)
Training on the integration and application of concepts and interventions (Level 2): 12:30 p.m. ADP INFORMAL recognized by professional orders.
