Introduction to training
Decline in sexual desire and mind-mapping:
A desirable step in the couple
Problem
The difference or decrease in sexual desire in a couple is inevitable with the progression of the relationship. In fact, not only is this stage normal, it is more desirable. This is considered a problem for couples who need to be treated or have a disorder to correct. In reality, this is quite the opposite, because we access an event of progression for the partners. This step, although difficult to cross, allows the couple to access more satisfying sexuality.
Need
Health professionals providing psychotherapy services for couples find themselves with a relational issue that is very complex when dealing with sexuality and more specifically sexual desire. Loss or loss of desire is a difficulty for which many therapists have difficulty grasping the underlying elements that maintain the dynamic. Discuss with partners very thorny topics like normal marital sadism, sex out of pity, their emotional impasse, their 2 “choice-dilemma”, borrowed functioning and mind-mapping regularly makes the therapist uncomfortable too.
